WISE 2020 Fall - Christmas

On the day of Christmas Eve in 2020, WISE elementary students performed their own version of Christmas Caroling and Christmas storytelling. Furthermore, middle school and high school students did a picture scavenger hunt. By using the pictures they took of them acting different roles in different scenes, students created their own Christmas tales.

WISE 2020 Fall - Elementary Field Trip

WISE elementary students went on a field trip to Changhua on November 16th. We first visited the Taiwan Rice Factory to understand how rice crops get processed and then delivered from the farm to our dinner tables. Next, they headed to Mizu World, where they made two DIY projects. Not only did they make messages-in-a-bottle and cute potted plant memo stands, students also learned about the importance of conserving water through games. Through this field trip, our students all learned a lot about resources and conservation.

WISE 2020 STREAM Program - Robotics and Coding

The Ministry of Education’s 12-year compulsory education curriculum now includes robotics and programming. However, WISE had the foresight to establish a well-rounded robotics STEAM program as early as four years ago. WISE students start learning about programming languages in elementary school with Lego EV3 Robots and then move on to VEX IQ and VEX V5 Artificial Intelligence courses in middle and high school, receiving complete, exceptional instruction at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

WISE 2020 Fall- What is a Terrarium?

In grade 5th English class, students learned about the ecosystem and the word “Terrarium", and our students made the terrarium by themselves! This project is intended to support 5th grade students with their understanding of Earth's spheres as well as their knowledge of ecosystems and their interactions as seen in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Students need to design, build, and observe their own terrarium while recording their process, results, and modifications.

WISE 2020 Fall - Parent-Teacher Conferences

The 2020-2021 Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences have ended successfully. Thank you for your active participation!

The most important thing in the learning process for children is the continued support from parents. The Parent-Teacher Conferences give each parent an opportunity to have one-on-one talks with teachers, helping parents to have more understanding with students ' academic works. Through the communication, both parents and teachers could find the best learning solution for students, and assist them together when they seek help.
