Every year on the first Thursday in March, children around the world will celebrate “World Book Day.” In the UK, every child is given a voucher to be spent on books. In India, the most popular activity on this day is “Selfie with your favorite Book.” On the other hand, here at WISE our Grade 3 and Grade 8 students gave us a very memorable puppet show. They have adapted some of our familiar stories and turned them into a collection of entertainments, such as “The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse,” “The Honest Woodcutter,” “Hou-Yi Shoot Sun….” Through the expression of our audience, it’s easy to tell how successful this activity is.
