Because of the rising popularity of environmental sustainability and recreational sports, WISE planned a High School biking field trip to Sun Moon Lake in Nantou. The bike route, a 3.5km trail from XiangShan and ShuiShi, is suitable for leisurely riding and sightseeing along Sun Moon Lake. In the afternoon, students went to the Atunas Taiwan Outdoor Center in Nantou to experience rock and tree climbing. Students put on their safety helmets, tightened their harnesses, and started to climb towards the top! Under the supervision of professionals, students were free to experiment and explore however they wanted! We hope that this off-campus trip inspires students to join more outdoors activities with their families and get close to nature on weekends or holidays!
