Emergency Notification Regarding the 2019-nCov Virus

Dear parents,

In order to prevent potential cross contamination of 2019-nCov virus, per MOE regulation and Taiwan CDC order, as well as the well-being of our students, as a preventative procedure, WISE will postpone the first day of 2020 Spring semester to 2/25 (Tue.)

During this period, due to the unclear nature of the virus, we strongly suggest that you and your child avoid any private or public gatherings in case of potential carriers amongst the crowd. If you or your child have 1) traveled to or near, or 2) come in contact with people who have traveled to or near the quarantined area in China, please seek medical consultation immediately.

WISE will hold an emergency meeting on Monday to determine the make-up days, calendar changes, and other disease prevention procedures, so that your child’s well-being and rights to education are protected.

***Reminder:

1) Avoid indoor crowds, activities should be outdoors if possible.

2) The incubation period of 2019-nCov virus is estimated to be 14 days. Carries are believed to be contagious during the incubation periods. Please wear surgical masks at all times and wash hands frequently.

3) If your child has symptoms like fever, coughing, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention as soon as possible. And report to their homeroom teacher.

WISE is working to keep our campus clean and will begin disinfection procedures in the following days. Rest assured that we are doing everything to keep our students healthy.
